The 44th Daejeong Awards (Grand Bell Awards), one of the major movie awards in Korea, was filled with surprises in terms of who or which film won, as well as stunning Korean beauties walking down the red carpet. The video above shows us a glimpse of what took place at the red carpet ceremony, while the snaps below are simply highlights chosen by me.

Best Film: Family Ties
Best Director: Bong Joon Ho, The Host
Best Actor: Ahn Sung Ki, Radio Star
Best Actress: Kim Ah Joong, 200-Pound Beauty
Best Supporting Actor: Kim Yoon Seok, Tazza: The High Rollers
Best Supporting Actress: Shim Eun Jin, South of The Border
Best New Actor: Ryu Deok Hwan, Like A Virgin
Best New Actress: Jo Yi Jin, South of The Border
Overseas Popularity Award: Jung Ji Hoon (Bi), Kim Tae Hee
Korea (Domestic) Popularity Award: Lee Bum Soo, Kim Ah Joong
Kim Tae-hee, looking absolutely heart-stopping as always. I’m sure you remember her.
Korean pop star Ivy sings with some dude I don’t care about.
I think what Ivy’s singing here is the 1970s rock-pop song “Maria.”
Kim Ah-joong (above and below, with a dude), won because of her performance in the film 200-pound Beauty. If you haven’t seen the film yet, well you should; download the movie on bit torrent for Pete’s sake! She’s so lovely there I’m running out of superlatives.
These photos are several months old (taken in October 2006), but because we’re on the subject of Kim Tae-hee, I’m posting them here as well. In the future, we’re going to cover and post more timely news and photos on Kim Tae-hee and all the other Asian babes who matter.
I’m not sure if making a lovely girl act like a deranged, nonbathing lunatic is what passes for “hot” in Korea, but that was what GQ did with Kim Tae-hee. These pictures attest to that. GQ’s genius photographers and stylists were probably thinking “drama,” but all I see is “Crazy.” What a terrible waste of a lovely piece of ass.
FYI, Kim Tae-hee was star of Stairway to Heaven and Love Story in Harvard.
I don’t really care about Korean fashion designer Andre Kim, but he had this recent utterly fab show called Best Star Awards attended by some of the most heartstopping Korean beauties I love. Click to enlarge.
During last week’s Baeksang Arts Awards, gorgeous Korean stars (there were male Korean stars, too, but who cares about them?) sashayed down the red carpet and stole my heart away. The photos here represent my personal selection.
Kim Jung-eun: star of the TV series Lovers in Paris and the film Marrying the Mafia. Isn’t she cute, although that hair confuses me.
Kim Tae-hee. Darn. Who won’t melt for Kim Tae-hee, star of that TV series Love Story in Harvard.
Son Ye-Jin. Star of The Classic and A Moment to Remember. She really is ravishing in the latter film, although her role was that of a girl with a rare form of Alzheimer’s disease that makes her forget everything, even control of her bladder. Good thing she’s pretty, or the thought of a grown-up person peeing while she’s speaking with you might have grossed me out.
FAD 3.0 not only blogs about the most beautiful babes, but we also discuss the latest news about gadgets, technology, and any new weird shit that crops up from the bowels of the interwebs.
