NDCC was giving their reports to the President herself, and they kept on comparing their performance with America’s FEMA during the onslaught of Katrina, kesyo mas mabilis daw sila mag respond, kesyo mas na-predict daw nila kung saan babagsak ang bagyo.

Honestly inaamin ko na wala akong nagawa nuong bagyo. My city was not affected too much, but this discussion is not about me. The point here in this argument is that Richard already has the means to rescue people. Why can’t he help the first person who needed it? Ask yourself that question if you are in his situation.
The United Nations decreed that whenever a disaster strikes, ang mauuna dapat na tulungan ay ang mga bata, babae, at matatanda. Nothing is so disturbing that children being neglected during a crisis.

I’m just reposting my comment here again, since I’ve commented about the same thing on another FAD post recently.
In all fairness to that actor, a guys got to do what a guy has to do.. so the guy wanted to save his damsel in distress (big deal), it’s his prerogative and preference.. he needs/wants to get laid sometime (doesn’t everybody wants some?!), so a guys just doing what’s best for his interest of course.. nothing else!
So let’s stop being A-holes about him alright, if you want to be a Hero.. then be one (so why didn’t you?), but don’t go saying somebody’s not holier than thou.. just b’coz you’re not him (and he didn’t do what you’d want/expect him to do), c’mon.. let’s all be realistic!
I’d expect lots of replies after this one, but the bottom line is.. people tend to blame others first (always), but they’re not doing anything instead (other than bitch about somebody else deed or misdeed, it’s up to you to decide.. it’s your opinion anyway)!
So if you’ve done your share to help others at some point in time, that’s good! But if you didn’t, that’s fine.. since we’re first responsible for ourselves, then we could.. it’s always an option to help other people next.. but nobody’s responsible for everybody, unless you’re the government (that’s why they’re there & that’s why we’re paying them our taxes)!
People are people, acts of God c/o nature happens for a reason.. this is part of the idea that’s why this is happening all around us, let’s start w/ourselvers first.. bitch about other people later!
Just my few cents about all the hoopla that’s been going on here wherein lots of people are replying about (wasting they’re time), that’s all.
Nevertheless, FAD 3.0 still rules, stay safe since there’s another Strom coming our way again.. peace!!!

@talong: i somewhat agree re: its his prerogative and preference. thing is, he went against the advice of the navy men saying the current is still strong, he didn’t bring cristine’s brother who knew the way to their house better than him, and he had to be saved when his boat broke down. if he’s gonna act like a brat, he’s gonna endanger lives and waste rescuers’ time.

@semiperv, re: what you’ve said now, in a way.. it’s what I’m really talking about (in a way as well) beforehand.
People do dumb things & nobody’s perfect (even an actor is not holier than thou or better than the rest of us, they’re really just popular than the rest of us), and who knows.. he’s still reeling from a “reel” to “real life” scenario wherein he maybe thought that it’s still a movie he’s doing (come to think of it, all the things he’d done are all examples of a movie cliche to save a damsel in distress), so maybe.. his thinking doesn’t apply to how everybody else think (but that’s his misgiving or problem & we all have our own thing to resolve ourselves at some point in our lives), let’s just live.. and we should learn from all that transpired, and do what’s necessary now.. regardless if you’re somebody or not!
Bottomline, we should look at all the facts before throwing needless remarks that doesn’t really help anybody, & it certainly doesn’t help those that are most affected by what happened already.
It’s just irritating to see or even read through all the senseless comments that invoke only one thing.. like burn that actor & go rot to hell or something now, but the other question remains.. does pointing one finger at another, leave you w/four fingers pointing at yourself instead or not?
So I’m just basically replying to those affected by that actors real life cliche (others are more affected really since we could obviously still reply here online), so lets just do our part.. but pointing on others (not doing something good instead) is just a cheap shot at somebody else’s mistake or dumb thing he’d done, w/o giving that somebody the benefit of the doubt (b’coz everybody deserves that since they have their own reasons they did what they did)!
FAD 3.0 rules & peace to everybody else as well.
