FAD reader “Manny-La” emailed a bunch of download links to the late great Francis M’s discography, and I thought, what the heck, let’s fucking post these. So here they are. Might be one good way to perpetuate Francis M’s memory and legacy. If it matters.

thanx men your angel from the sky ive been looking for fancis m discography ever since i started using internet i always wanted to have a copy of all fancis m songs and finally you share it to us its just so sad that francis is not with us anymore “peace men” you’re the god father of Philippines rap and you will always be you’re the only one….. Guys. sorry to be KJ or anything, pero sana no one downloads these songs. this is a form of piracy and mas bastos pa that ang pinapirate natin ay sumakabilangbuhay na. let us support and respect francis m by buying his albums. all of his albums are still out in the market. although hindi siya by album, there are i think 3 best-of albums for francis. sana wag ganito

Thanks I will download this but still buy his cd. I need this for my ipod. Thanks i have been always a FM fan since elementary and i remember that i even copy his hair cut to the point my teacher scold me.

Sa mga nagsasabing immoral ang pagdownload nito dahil patay na si FrancisM:
1. Online downloading is one of the best things to happen. Why? You can listen to or watch movies or albums that you can’t get elsewhere. For example: without p2p, you can’t get the whole discography of Death Cab for Cutie since you can’t get everything in the stores, especially in the Pinoy market. Besides, you can’t get FrancisM’s albums anymore, I’ve seen Freeman 2-pack and Meron Akong Ano, but that’s it,
2. You just can”t preach not to download or indulge in “piracy” when you’re in this site to look at porn and naked chicks.
3. If the dude was alive, would you have said what you said?
FYI lang, I have cassette tapes of most of his albums and download sites are a good source for digital copies of his songs.
Tama na ang pagiging hipokrito, alam naman nating ang pinaka-common na gamit sa internet ay ang either (in no particular order) a) pag-chat, b)pag-surf, c) downloading, at d) porn

to the truth:
yes online downloading makes us listen to stuff that you couldnt possibly hear before. BUT IT IS STILL PIRACY. And why connect piracy and pornography? what the hell? anong kinalaman nun? in the first place, we are all guilty of looking at porn. but i have never downloaded a song more so an album from the internet. and to think local artist pa ang tinitira niyo. AND YES, even if he was still alive, i’d say this. as a musician, i’d say this about any of our filipino artists. e meron naman pala kayong mga cassette ni francis m e. e bakit hindi niyo kaya ipa-digital transfer? ang dali lang nun, tapos mura pa. padala niyo sa akin, libre lang. AND FINALLY, hindi ako hopokrito dahil sa mga stats na binigay mo. HINDI PORKE’T YUN ANG “MOST COMMON” AY YUN ANG TAMANG GAWIN. e kung drugs nga maraming gumagamit pero hinuhuli pa rin e… kaya lumalala ang pilipinas dahil sa ganyang pagiisip. sumasabay lang sa uso.

1a. You’re bringing the argument that downloading is piracy. Piracy is stealing and therefore a socially-rejected idea a.k.a. immoral. Porn is immoral. You’re in this site to browse for porn. Therefore, don’t tell the good people who browse through FAD to not download online, especially when you are breaking socially-acceptable behavior yourself. If you’re a prudent priss who just happens to stumble upon this site, then sige. Blast away. But since you’re here like all the rest of us, don’t be trying to be all high-and mighty and saying “oh I’m an artist, support my music and buy my CDs. Don’t pirate.” You’ve pretty much destroyed your ticket to be a preachy priss when you entered this site…gets na? ok, good.

2a. First and foremost, I never download OPM albums except for a certain few albums that are really rare or yung bano talaga. Kaya nga digital e para mas convenient. Sobrang hassle magconvert ng cassette to mp3. If you have the time to sift and edit through each track, good for you. Pano kunyari ung White Album ng Beatles e i-convert from cassette to mp3? Good luck na lang.

3a. I never said they were the right thing to do. I said they were the most common. If you don’t do any of the four that I have enumerated, then good for you. Give yourself a tap on the back.
If you’re a musician, what would you most care about more? Selling a few records? Or conveying a solid message? I think Mr. M is not a musician because a musician is all about the money. Sarah Geronimo, Sam Milby, Willie Revillame are all musicians. FrancisM is an artist. Rico Blanco is an artist. Ely Buendia is an artist. Sure downloading is wrong, but what do you think would Francism, or any other artist value more? The money his songs make, or the message that his songs spread?
Face it. Downloading is a necessary evil. It’s a great promotional tool for artists. And statistics show that the majority of the people who download songs end up buying the CDs themselves, as long as the content is good. With all the half-assed efforts out there we call albums na may 2 lang na magandang kanta, downloading puts the power back in the consumers’ hands. If you want to earn my money, then you gotta offer me good stuff. Downloading forces artists to put out better products.

As for those preaching that downloading these MP3s is condoning piracy and violation of intellectual property, just to let you know, each of these download links doesn’t contain the complete album, it’s more of a sampler of what Francis M contributed to the Philippine rap in particular and music in general.
