What made 2008 so much fun were the hot ladies who made that life-changing decision to share their hotness to the avid men’s magazine-buying public. So here’s a loose compilation of what I think are some of the hottest or most controversial cover girls that enriched our otherwise drab everyday lives in the past year.

- Shawn Yao, Rogue magazine: Shawn appeared in the February issue of that wonderful magazine called Rogue, and it became sort of controversial (not sure if this is true) because her supposedly moneyed family loved seeing many things, but Shawn’s nipples splashed on a glossy magazine were not one of them.
Precious Adona
- Precious Adona, FHM: Precious posed for Maxim a coupla years ago, but her appearance in FHM in May 2008 made her “famous” — FAD’s post on her even reached America’s popular porny blog Fleshbot. Precious looked so hot and her photoshopped twat looked so “real and wet” that it’s safe to say legions of hardworking men wasted gallons of this sticky fluid loosely called “the future of the Fatherland” to her FHM images. WTF.
Joey Mead
- Joey Mead, Rogue: Joey Mead’s genitalia covered in body paint featuring the Philippines’ national flag just in time for July 4th celebrations had many anal-retentive nationalists’ panties in a twist. On one hand, people who regarded themselves as “true-blooded Filipinos” gave interviews on how offended they were that the image of the national flag would be used to cover Joey Mead’s delightful lady parts, while on the other hand, people who just didn’t care about the bullshit of people who regarded themselves as true-blooded Filipinos just flipped the finger and gave interviews on how offended they were that there wasn’t even a hint of Joey Mead’s cameltoe.
Angel Locsin
- Angel Locsin, Maxim: An example of how annoyingly rip-offish motherfuckers the folks at Maxim can be at times, this issue featured a “fully clothed” Angel Locsin. But that didn’t stop people from actually voting Angel as Maxim’s Hottest. Later on, Angel would bring about the hilarious shitstorm FADdicts have come to know as the “Angel-gate.” For maximum fun, read the comment thread.
Diana Zubiri
- Diana Zubiri, FHM: In July, Diana Zubiri returned to FHM after a very long time, and it was welcomed with a 21-dick salute by long-time fans. Sure, Diana got heavier since the last time she posed, but the extra weight simply added to her charm.
Krista Ranillo
- Krista Ranillo, FHM: “Naughty” daughter of 1980s heartthrob (my grandmother loved him) Matt Ranillo, Krista Ranillo said “Fuck it, I’m using my ginormous mouth-watering boobs to enter showbiz” one day and has since been very happy. We are, too.
Ellen Adarna
- Ellen Adarna, Uno: Anybody who didn’t have an actual life and lived on the interwebz and didn’t have friends know that Ellen had been very famous on the interwebz these past years. In March, after many of those “genius” meetings that usually take place at Uno’s headquarters, headed by its genius editor-in-chief Johnbee Sales, Ellen appeared on the cover. By October 2008, running out of genius ideas, Uno decided to feature Ellen again on its cover. Somewhere, Uno’s decision-makers are eating several dicks.
Regine Angeles
- Regine Angeles, Maxim: Ah, Regine, the avid gamer and self-confessed “tomboy” with the wonderful mounds. Go hit the link, people!
Mariel Rodriguez
- Mariel Rodriguez, Maxim: Although she can be quite annoying on teevee, those mounds will make you forget everything else except the word “fuck” in 72-point Helvetica, flashing in your head.
