Flesh Asia Daily stalwart “Buddy Love” shares this piece of insight on what could have been the 2006 Miss Universe, Miss Kurara Chibana.
Recently, Ylmaz Bekhtas (Ruffa Gutierrez’s ex-husband) has been reportedly dating Miss Universe 2006 Zuleyka Rivera of Puerto Rico. This got me to recall the controversial Q&A of the pageant during that year where Kurara was asked her question and she replied eloquently in her native tongue. Unfortunately, the interpreter assigned to her did not fully translate everything that Kurara said which caused the Japanese to lose the title (”robbed of it” is perhaps a more precise term) to the Puerto Rican. Many have opined that the fallout of this controversy was such that Donald Trump (owner of the Miss Universe) had to make concessions to his Japanese investors that the very next year, the candidate from Japan Riyo Mori was crowned Miss Universe 2007.
Suffice it to say, Zuleyka Rivera will never be among the more popular winners of the Miss Universe. And she will not earn any brownie points among Pinoys after recently buying a chihuahua and naming her “Ruppa”.

Kurara is better than Riyo for sure. Kurara was robbed and everyone knows that. She is so fine.
