Marian Rivera Will Endorse Your Product For Only P5 Million

Flesh Asia Daily reader “Jenn” tips me about Marian Rivera’s current going talent fee for endorsing products. Apparently, Marian receives about Php5 million per endorsement/TV ad. Great money, you’ll think, but it turns out, it’s comparatively lower than say, that what’s received by cocksuckers like Piolo Pascual (P10 million for Clear shampoo) or John Lloyd (Php12 million for Biogesic). The reason, “Jenn” says, is Marian’s “notorious” diction: she’s pretty and famous and all, but in the TV product endorsement business, you have to have perfect “credible” diction so that you can effectively sell whatever shit you’re endorsing.

That’s what exactly boggles my head about Marian: why her handlers haven’t enrolled her in some elite diction training school is beyond me. Remember when in those scenes in her soap Marimar, where she’s supposedly a highly educated rich person who orders this and that to her henchmen in English, and she’d sound like she’s selling fish? It’s crazy, if you ask me, because we’re talking about boatloads of money lost in potential talent fee just because Marian couldn’t properly pronounce con-flag-ray-shun as boner-inspiring as 1925 Playboy centerfold-turned-Philippine senator Miriam Defensor Santiago.

By the way, these here very pretty Maria Rivera pictures are courtesy, of course, of “Buddy Love.” And there are more after the jump.

  1. [...] Marian Rivera comes cheap when compared to whores like Lee Hyori, Paris Hilton, Jessica Alba, Celina Jaitley, etc. Flesh Asia Daily reader “Jenn” says  Marian Rivera’s current going talent fee for endorsing products. Apparently, Marian receives about Php5 million per endorsement/TV ad. Which is about 120,000 american dollars. That is cheap, I know Paris Hilton Charges 50,000 to 100,000 just to go to a party. So for 120,000 Marian rivera would put your cock in her mouth,  jusr for a little tv time, not bad not bad at all. To see article go to source [...]

  5. hi liza.

im sure you’re a very nice lady. but i forgot to specifically say that it’s Sunsilk (only) that paid marian P5 M because of her “jologs” diction; if you’ve seen their TV ad, you’ll notice they’re not using marian’s voice; it’s been dubbed by someone else.

sunsilk’s decision, not mine. to be fair, pldt liked marian’s down-to-earth style, so they didn’t change her voice or anything.

so i guess it depends on the product, or whoever jerk decides on how a product must be sold. somebody at sunsilk probably saw marian as Bella Aldama, and was totally unimpressed when Bella snapped at Dingdong Dantes’ character the now immortal line: “And I’m not Marimar!” — a hilarious, poor imitation of Cherry Gil’s rich girl gravitas.

but i don’t blame Marian for the dialogue; i blame the goddamn motherfucking writer for giving her lines where her linguistic weaknesses get exposed. im a creative writer myself, and i have a gazillion ways of making marian’s bella aldama look and sound good through the dialogue. sadly, i dont work for gma or anybody because these companies pay chump change. hence, the awful quality of their writers.

im a huge fan of marian, by the way. why do you think this blog already has 19 blog posts about her? :D
