Zhang Ziyi Finally Puts Her Gold-digging Skillz To Good Use

Zhang Ziyi is widely reported to be starting a new film studio with Wendi Deng (Rupert Murdoch’s wife).
Before anything else, a little background: Rupert Murdoch is News Corp big boss and also owner of the much-reviled conservative US media Fox News. Wendi is his third wife, also much hated (or envied) because everybody knows that when you’re marrying a smelly 68-year-old man with halitosis whose net worth is $8.8 billion, say the words “I really love him” and people would: (a) laugh their clitoris off; (b) piss on your hair; (c) all of the above. So you understand?
Ziyi entered into the picture because some years ago Wendi hosted a party on her yacht, and Vivi Nevo (one of the bigshot guests) saw Ziyi and got a huge boner for her that continues to this day.
Now back to the present. Somehow Wendi and Ziyi have become BFFs (best friends forever) and somewhere between the umpteenth martini and bonbons, they thought: hey, let’s start a new film studio! Like, now!
Various media reports indicate that for their first film production, the new dynamic duo are planning to make the film adaptation of Empress, a novel by French-Chinese novelist Shan Sa. Somebody even mentioned Ridely Scott to be sitting on the director’s chair. That might be something.
