as a precaution [as some of FAD's advertisers are really naughty motherfuckers -- i remove them when shit like spyware happens, but they still occasionally pop up when im not looking], you should keep a good, well-updated antispyware installed, turn on windows firewall, make sure that your windows security is up to date.
well, that should contain it.
